The Horticulture department was started in 2006 with College establishment. The section is having highly qualified, experienced & motivated faculty. It is well equipped with modern laboratory to conduct practicals as per Curriculum. The Horticulture farm is having mango orchards with well known variety of Alphansoo and kesar and the Hi-Tech Horticulture structures viz. Greenhouse and Shade-net house for protected cultivation of horticulture crops. The commercial cultivation of cut roses and exotic vegetables is carried out under these protected structures by the Experiential Learning students of VIII semester .The commercial cultivation of vegetables under open climate is also carried out by Experiential Learning students .Till date, the section is a premier division of college for hands on training (Experiential Learning Programme of VIII Semester) of Greenhouse technology. After acquiring hands on training, the student have great scope in Greenhouse industry as an entrepreneur.The Horticulture section also equipped with Post Harvest Management and Value Addition of fruits and vegetables Laboratory.
